I worked at Myron Manufacturing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Convenient location and a nice clean office. Co-workers were kind and helpful. Benefits are decent. Simple job.

    Cons

Disorganized hiring process. During interview I was asked by HR lady what "by phone" means after she saw it on my resume. It means what it says. Ridiculous question. Meddling owner who can't let supervisors do their job. Small pay raises and not much room for growth. Selling a product-personalized business gifts-most business owners don't care about.

    Advice to Management

Let the supervisors do their job. Give positive feedback to employees to boost company morale. Offer opportunities for advancement and stop the mass layoffs every months.

    Pros

The people are trying to earn a living and are nice. But the upper management staff is antiquated and have tunnel vision.

    Cons

No 401K, No bonus, poor 1.5% raises, the health benefits are bare minimum, and the marketing dept works less than 8 hours and many times just don't bother coming in. When the son took over the company, he stopped caring about the employees.

    Advice to Management

Good management listens to their employees - I would suggest upper management to listen to the more experienced people that work there.

"Overall good experience, however, morale can be low—employee appreciation is not as evident as it should be."

I have been working at Myron Manufacturing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Above average benefits package, 401k, etc. Good holday, vacation, PTO and sick day policies.

    Cons

No bonuses, rarely receive yearly salary increases above 1%,employee appreciation lacking resulting in low employee morale and seemingly high turnaround rate, especially in upper management.

    Advice to Management

    Trust and value employees' expertise.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Always struck me as being concerned about doing the right thing by the employees. Decent pay and benefits. Good working environment.

    Cons

At times seemed more concerned about status of hourly workers (not a bad thing, in itself!) than with exempt level or management level employees

I worked at Myron Manufacturing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good people and lots of opportunity to try new things.

    Cons

Senior management is a bit crazy and that trickles down to management and staff. Layoffs are quite common during slow periods.

    Advice to Management

Don't be so greedy. If you've got something that works, stick with it and don't go chasing after the latest "fad".
