I worked at NAI Global part-time

    Pros

Great people within the office that have much to share with any professional looking to get into real estate. I would say NAI Black is the largest and most competent CRE firm in the Spokane, WA area. Best CEO I have had the chance to work with, Dave Black, who is a great leader and business man.

    Cons

    During my experience, none.

    Pros

Really nice work environment with co-workers who care. People take interest in your goals, and will help you advance in areas of interests. Good opportunity if your interested in developing in areas of business

    Cons

Basic office job, but it is what you make it - as long as you put in the work, you can get a lot out of the opportunity.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your employees development and morale, it makes a big difference!

I worked at NAI Global full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with a diverse deal flow across all property types and geographies, your colleagues are capable, pay is good, and pace is often fast (but inconsistent). They are also willing to promote younger talent after a couple of years - great place to start a career.

    Cons

Often times deals are put on hold for no obvious reason, resulting in working needing to be redone later. This also strains relationships with buyers, who don't have confidence they'll get to buy an asset even if they are top offeror. Too bureaucratic, yet not enough uniformity of processes. Pace of work is very unpredictable. Most deals sold are pretty ugly, which can get old after a while.

    Advice to Management

Despite an "open door" policy, communication breakdown is common when a superior is traveling a lot or if they are based out of another office, which becomes problematic when it is unclear what does and doesn't need boss approval.

Very entrepreneurial company and you have the ability to work on different market segments

    Cons

No collaboration opportunity with other employees or with management providing collaboration efforts. It is very competitive within the company and outside of the company.
