I have been working at NAMM California full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company to work for. Management is very transparent. They really care about what their employees think and strive to make corrections when appropriate. They are active in the community and organizes several events throughout the year for various charities. They pay is competitive with other CM positions in the area.

    Cons

No availability to telework from home

  2. "High backstabbing and just like high school drama"

I worked at NAMM California as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing except the deli in downstairs

    Cons

There is no value for hard work and excellent performance. It's a highly political place to work. Lots of gossiping and conflicts among team members. It is more like high school drama rather than a professional work place. Management tries to find excuses to terminate people frequently and hire new ones.
If they want to terminate a resource on the project and can't find fault in them, they will wait until he/she takes a day off. Then they immediately call vendor and say they don't need this resource due to inconsistent attendance. If you don't want to get fired, please don't take even a day off.

    Advice to Management

Try to behave like a qualified manager

I worked at NAMM California as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I received a pay check and that's about all I can say. They have a deli downstairs. The parking lot can accommodate most vehicles.

    Cons

IT has the worst turn over in this company. Management insists on hiring friends and colleagues from previous company (EPIC).

Senior management will keep you a contractor as long as possible so they don't have to holidays, benefits, etc.

Senior management encourages back stabbing, selling out colleagues, gossiping, etc. This is purely a political place to work, nothing technical. Good luck advancing if you're not part of the boys club. Absolutely garbage technicians that weasel by disappearing from the office, delegating work and kissing managements butt.

    Advice to Management

You state you don't like passive aggressive personalities, yet, you don't provide feedback on performance and make emotional decisions based on he said/she said information. Go back to being a mayor. You have no business being in IT, And take your pathetic "techies" with you.

I worked at NAMM California as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not many. There is a deli downstairs.

    Cons

Poor communication and feedback on job performance. I was let go w/o any warning whatsoever or any feedback on my performance even though they knew there were people counting on me on the home front based on information provided behind my back. A snivling Project Lead was in the Sr. Manager's ear and they let me go on a whim instead of handling things on a more level headed manor. Pay was mediocre as a contractor so it would obviously be worse as an FTE. Another company with no future that expects you to "pay" for your benefits. I thought NAMM/United Health Group was much better but it turned out to be a disappointment. No wonder they always have a lot of job openings. I should have known.

    Advice to Management

Make more level headed decisions instead of hinging them on overly emotional types. Try making your own decsions too, that would help your own career, instead of being someone's puppet.
