I worked at NARS Cosmetics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-training and seminar is a lot of fun especially with lena koro.
-the artist in the boutique are very tight knit.
-boutique managers are generally open to helping you.

    Cons

    -corporate is very unorganized
-continuously sold out of popular products
-little visits from trainer for artist support.
    -cut backs in gratis.
-company policies are made up as they go.

    Advice to Management

The level at which you hold your artist at in FSS is unrealistic when the environment is not set up for success of the artist due to unorganization by corporate.

I worked at NARS Cosmetics full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great products. I don't really have much else to say about the company than that. In the beginning it had so much potential but ended up being all smoke and mirrors.

    Cons

No support, the initial training was great but was never given a follow up, never got gratis, management never seemed to do their jobs. I felt like there was not much room for growth even though I was promised it.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Provide better training and support.

I have been working at NARS Cosmetics full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Build some great friendships and products. Company is growing rapidl so there are opportunities in the future. Jean are allowed as well.

    Cons

Executive do not recognize hard work or lower level employee... They also do not pay well and if you come into the company with a certain pay rank you will not be compensated properly even if you slave for them. Current direct report does not fight for the team or support us properly, only knows hoe to micro manage and has no clue how to do any of our jobs.

    Advice to Management

There is over a 40% employment turn over for a good reason. They seem to be trying to push the senior employees out of the company and hiring new employees with higher titles and better wages.
