Everyone was very friendly, helpful and there to assist you when needed.

    Cons

There was definitely some downtime where I didn't have much to do.

I worked at NASA Federal Credit Union full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Only work 2 weekends a month, sometimes no weekends at all.
Don't get off to late, 6pm is the latest shift.
    401K Match up to 5%
    Paid leave/sick time
You get your own cubicle so you can decorate your desk if u choose to. Plus I don't like having people over top of me.
Complimentary lunches from time to time

    Cons

Management sucks. Don't want to go into great details because I don't know if this site is really anonymous. But please heed the warning. You will be walking into a toxic environment. Which will outweigh all the so called perks of the job. This job will suck away your mojo & eat away at your confidence if you don't recognize it early on & learn to manage the people & environment so it doesn't effect you mentally. This job will not be over when you leave for the day it will go home with you. You might have some sleepless nights or feel worried or anxious all the time. Again you have to be mentally strong to make it work for you. I would say work here to build your resume for at least 1 or 2 years and then find something else. Not a long term company. I was there 3 years and I should have trusted my gut and left after year 1 but I kept lying to myself and ignoring reality. Basically not trying to make it seem as bad as it actually was. I did get alot of training out of the deal, boost my resume, and a nice 401K when I left.

I worked at NASA Federal Credit Union full-time

    Pros

I worked here during and after college and I loved it. They were able to accommodate my class schedule when I was in school and when I graduated they gave me a full-time position. It was a great start to my career and I would certainly consider working for them again. I think I worked for them for about three years over all. I left because I wanted to grow and since it's a small business sometimes there aren't always tons of opportunities to move up. They were very supportive of me and I learned a lot while working there. (I did work in the back office, not in the branches.)

    Cons

    I can't think of any.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at NASA Federal Credit Union full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great community involvement; the only thing that made me proud to work here. Solid pay for someone starting out but not great for tenured employees, and minimal room for growth.

    Cons

If you are a motivated individual who wants to move up, don't waste your time. No matter how skilled you are or how good your numbers are--unless you are someone with low self esteem who does whatever Ribblett says and always take the fault...you will be miserable.

    Advice to Management

AVP's and VP's need to be more involved; but in a positive manner. This company is very much founded on "who's butt are you kissing". If you are an independent person with ideas of your own, this is not the job for you. You WILL BE criticized, ostracized, and made to feel useless. Word of advice: If you want to work here, DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. These people will try to throw you under the bus and make you feel inadequate at every opportunity. RUN. Run far away.

I worked at NASA Federal Credit Union full-time

    Pros

Many ways to earn extra money, like over time, commission every month, and if the credit union does well you get an extra bonus at the end of the year.

    Cons

Working conditions can be tough, you only have limited breaks, and have to sit most of the time. There are times where it will get real busy and you may have to eat lunch at your desk.

I worked at NASA Federal Credit Union part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I met two great people, a member and a co worker that made going to work a hint of hopeful. That's it. Everything was just terrible from there.

    Cons

Every single thing about working for this credit union was a nightmare to say the least. Not recommended whatsoever if you want to keep your sanity, self esteem and happiness.

    Advice to Management

    Where do I even begin....smh.
