I worked at NBC as an intern

    Pros

Once you're in as an intern or page, it's infinitely easier to meet people who may later hire you.

    Cons

The "you should just feel lucky to be here" mantra makes many interns feel disposable (which they are).

    Advice to Management

NBC knows that interns who get in through elite connections often don't work as hard or contribute much, so they should stop granting internships just based on referrals.

    Pros

Exciting place to work with lots of opportunities. Lots of interesting people, including celebrities and professional athletes. good pay.

    Cons

depending on your boss unfair work hours, blackout dates for vacation and time off. contractors are treated much worse than employees and it has a very high school cliquey environment feel to it.

    Advice to Management

Dont lie to employees, dont treat everyone like your smarter than they are, and pretending to care just a little bit will go a long way.
