I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The health benefits and overall fun and laid-back culture of this company are extremely hard to beat. The people at this company are a lot of fun to work with and are also helpful, creating a truly collaborative environment.

    Cons

The pathetically low salaries and my department in particular is not keen to promote people.

    Advice to Management

Universal's salaries are not competitive in a world where Netflix is taking over and stealing employees from traditional motion picture and television studios. Netflix pays top of market salaries - it's no wonder people are defecting and moving to Netflix or other companies who pay people's market value worth. To combat this, Universal higher ups should seriously consider bumping up their salaries to remain competitive as a place where people want to work.

I worked at NBCUniversal as a contractor

    Pros

Having work at Universal under 5 different owners, there were many improvements made by Comcast as far as employee activities and social benefits.

    Cons

However, the state of the actual Studio was very sad. 8 stages, some with historic value, were razed and currently are parking lots.
