I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work with great people on a small show. It's a pretty low-stress environment.

    Cons

Very slow growth and not a lot of money.

    Advice to Management

People are much more likely to stick around if they are rewarded with raises and promotions. It's much more efficient than having to start from scratch with new employees every couple of years.

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Going to a job you love everyday is truly a blessing. NBCU has great history and a bright future due to smart investing and guidance from our parent company Comcast. The company genuinely cares about employees and work/life balance. NBCU is a media behemoth and loves winning!

    Cons

Though I understand companies are shifting to an "open office" concept, more privacy at cubicles/work stations would be appreciated.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work of building/growing talent to be the company's leader of tomorrow.

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Working at NBCU is a dream come true. The company has great history but also a bright future due to smart investing by company leaders. They care about employees as people and encourage work/life balance. I've had the best experience working here the last few years and look forward to a long prosperous career with this media conglomerate. NBCU loves winning!

    Cons

    No negative comments to post

    Advice to Management

Keep building young talent to lead the company into the future.

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Discounts at Universal Studios; ice cream day

    Cons

No integrity - only the "talking heads" are treated well. Screws the employees - just cancelled the "guaranteed" retirement plan. Screws the retirees - cancelled their health insurance benefits. Union busting - when an employee resigns, they are not replaced -- only "daily hires" are used; they have almost no employee positions left. All this despite record profits. The employees do not share in the good times -- only senior management.

    Advice to Management

Start treating people as a valuable asset, pay them accordingly, and when they give their entire career to your company, take care of them in retirement.
