    Pros

Good, stable company with good leadership. Comcast buying the company was the best thing to over happen to it.

    Cons

Some of the local leaders at the station level aren't quite as good.

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

NBCUniversal has a big array of business units that provide amazing work environments.

The brand alone is strong should you want to work in entertainment

    Cons

Choose the business unit wisely, there are some that do not provide a work life balance. There is a huge disconnect between leadership and the actual staff executing the work.

    Advice to Management

Choose leaders wisely. Leadership within the entertainment side are inspiring while, non-entertainment leaders are extremely disconnected with their staff. Does not lead to an inspiring workplace

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of great projects to do. Variety of work.

    Cons

Work can become mundane, same promos come around every quarter.

    Advice to Management

There was a clear lack of genuine leadership. Inexperienced staff were promoted within the ranks and expected to lead. Those chosen for management / leadership positions should be trained on how to lead instead of just thrust into position.

I worked at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Iconic brand filled with tons of history in television and motion pictures. Truly a unique portfolio of businesses and content.

    Cons

Internal cut-throat politics ran rampant in 30 Rock and Los Angeles. Comcast changed the culture of the company. It sucked the life out of this amazing brand and challenged innovation to protect their cable business.

I worked at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Mediocrity is rewarded here. Benefits are fairly good and the perks, if you value them are nice.

    Cons

This company operates on plantation politics. It is not a place for top talent, nor innovation. When people speak of this place being political, they are really describing a place that condones bias and discrimination. Look at the history and color deviation of those that are promoted versus that of those who are perpetually looked over.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be wiped out and a new regime instituted that does not favor colorism.
