    Pros

So much opportunity at NBCU, great company values, amazing talent and content and good compensation. Overall if you excel at NBCU you are talented and very dedicated to your work and the company.

    Cons

A bad boss is like cancer, you can prolong life but you can't get rid of the cancer. The one downfall at NBCU is human resources role is to protect the company and they represent your boss. It took a year to ruin the department and 17 people lost their jobs.

    Pros

    Free admission when not working

    Cons

Upper Management untrustworthy and will hold anyone with talent back as they feel threatened.
Unnecessary Gossip just like High School

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Flexible work from home options.
Staff is like on big happy family
    The work facility is amazing

    Cons

Directors and Managers under pressure. Will take frustrations out on you if you don't stand up for yourself. Workloads are heavy. If you fail at playing the game of internal politics it can be detrimental to your career.

    Advice to Management

Keep the internal politics to the C-suite. Let the employees do their jobs without fear of political retribution. Don't wait until annual reviews to tell employees they are doing a good job.

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing group of people to work with in advertising. So much fun and exposure to many parts of the industry Great perks. Culture can be different across verticals (Entertainment, Sports, Lifestyle etc) but everyone is friendly and willing to meet and discuss your career and professional growth.

    Cons

Pay is fairly low for the amount of work put in and at times it can get political the way big corporations tend to be.

    Advice to Management

Make sure to encourage entry level employees to move to the next step - keep helping them meet with others across the company to figure out where they want to be and what they want to accomplish in their career.
