I worked at NBT Bancorp part-time

    Pros

I learned to count money at a faster rate and my skills in math increased. I was able to go to company meetings and meet the president of NBT. There were perks including a 0% 18 month interest free credit card i was able to sign up for and there were food days!

    Cons

I wasn't able to work full time hours being a teller 2. My supervisor was power hungry and childish at times.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you're doing just stay on top of your "checks and balances" (pun intended)

I worked at NBT Bancorp full-time

    Pros

I worked as an intern for one summer with NBT Bank. Everyone there was very friendly and helped me become accustom to the environment. I had a great experience with NBT.

    Cons

At times I felt distant from the team, but in retrospect I understand since I was only a temporary part of the team and was only there for a short period of time I was unable to build strong relationships.

    Pros

Generally pleasant staff, work tends to stay at the workplace

    Cons

Frequently understaffed, many and various unreasonable quotas - there's a reason for the recent bank scandals

    Advice to Management

Stop. Quotas only lead to miserable staff trying to drum up meaningless numbers that will not result in significant profits.
