    Positive Outlook

I have been working at NCB full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly environment, great work life balance, competitive pay and benefits, management cares about the employees, near the metro and parking in the building, several dining options within steps of the building, great location!

    Cons

If you want a fast paced, challenging environment like the bigger private sector financial services firms, this is not the place. NCB operates like a good coop of its size. Not sure if that's a con really.

    Advice to Management

Employees are happy overall. Best thing: employees are treated like adults, which is lacking in so many places. Keep it up!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at NCB full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Salary Package is fairly good compared with other Saudi banks

    Cons

You will never get promoted even if you worked very hard, UNLESS if you have connections in the bank. It ended up that those occupying higher positions has no brain. It demoralized the rank and files in the front line who works very hard and knows the job. There is a procedure in promotion but its but nobody follows. When you applied for a job they published it, but it is already COOKED for somebody to EAT who has NO brain, not you who is qualified for the job. Don't waste your time in this bank

    Advice to Management

Senior management does not know what the HR is manipulating to recruit their FRIENDS

    Positive Outlook

I worked at NCB full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

NCB is the largest bank of Saudi Arabia with a network of over 300 branches nationwide. Situated in the heart of red sea city Jeddah. NCB has improved its presence remarkably in last ten years and maintains state-of-the art technology deployed to run its business. NCB pay-scales are very competitive and above market standards.

    Cons

Some senior managers are from old school of thoughts. Certain HR policies distinctly discriminates foreign workers to their nationals.

    Advice to Management

Working culture needs to be improved. Senior management should take initiatives to make NCB an equal opportunity employer.
