    Pros

Prior to 2001, NCH Canada Inc. was a fantastic company to work for until the likes of Howard Shiller, Fern Laniel, Robert Vandrish, Reuben Isaacs all left. Then the downfall trend began with the in-flow of pretentious no good backstabbers, absolutely and morally corrupt bunch. The Levi's used to have a good thing going, brilliant products and a great sales and company staff. Sad to see NCH Canada Inc.barely exists today. Excellent training for the sales team.

    Cons

Excellent but extremely expensive specialty chemicals.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the basic principles of the company exists because of it's Sales Team. Do not price yourself out of the market. Treat people based on the merits, and nothing else. Respect to all, regardless.

I have been working at NCH full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has a great culture, as it is owned by a family. So in theory it should be OKAY, but in practice Europe is far from being a family type business.
Was really a great place to work, until owners did play a significant role in Management.

    Cons

Bureaucracy, controversial decisions. Short term tactics instead of long term strategy.

    Advice to Management

Look around in your organization for talented people, who still remember the culture of company.

    Pros

Lots of positive changes taking place as the company looks to modernise, creating opportunities for individuals looking to make a difference.

    Cons

Some people are slower to adapt to the changes than others that can cause some conflict. Parking can be a bit of an issue at the Biston site!

    Advice to Management

Improve communication between departments, some times it feels that some departments do not know what other do or even that they exist.

I worked at NCH full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good products. Nice buildings. Clean restrooms. 40 hour work week. Free coffee. Climate controlled. Sorry...running out of good things to say.

    Cons

NO advancement. Terrible Pay. Lazy middle management. Ridiculous "meetings" roll call. Very little training on products. Did I say LAZY middle management. "Operations" department? Pretty sure none of the managers have ever heard of Linkedin or other professional networking websites.

    Advice to Management

Did you ever hear of training? How in the world can a rep "sell" against competition when they don't even know what they're selling and what the competition is doing? Stop saying there are advancement opportunities in your employment ad. It's just not true.

    Pros

Quality products. Well known as being the most expensive products out there with the quality being the same as everyone else.

    Cons

Poor management. Poor customer support. They can't wait to terminate you so they can give your accounts to a senior agent.

    Advice to Management

    Get better managers
