    Pros

    -Competitive salary
    -Flexible work schedule
    -Education reimbursement
-Company paid online skillport training for Certifications
-Excellent manager, treated with respect and dignity

    Cons

-No pay raise or little when moving to position of higher responsibility
-Salary ranges are all over the place, some employees make up to 8000 per year more then others even when both employees have the same skillset

-TIP: shoot for a high salary when you are negotiating, do not take the first offer

    Advice to Management

-Pay employees with similiar experience and/or skillset within the same salary range. Some employees feel short changed when they have the same and/or more experience/certifications than their co-worker yet make thousands a year less

-When employees move to a higher position....pay them more...this is Biblical and common sense

I worked at NCI full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Working at the NCI you get to be part of an amazing diverse team of people that makes a difference to the people that need to utilize the services. The opportunities to learn and advance are numerous and the benefits and teamwork make it an extremely valuable experience.

    Cons

I do not have any negatives about working at this company.

    Advice to Management

Improvement could be made on redundant cross department procedures, and procedures and processes in some areas could be streamlined to be more efficient and simplified.

I have been working at NCI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

NCI finds good people to put on the contracts they support, a task made more difficult in this particular region due to its somewhat remote nature. When push came to shove on the contract I supported and there was a demand for contractors to become Security+ certified, the company came through and provided a boot-camp-like training session.

    Cons

Once on a contract, there's not much room for movement. This could be due to the way the contract is written, or perhaps it is because of the difficulty of finding qualified people who want to work in this area, or something else...

    Advice to Management

Continue to offer more educational opportunities for people in the more administratively-bound positions to continue to retain technical skills. What makes me, for example, a good technical worker is my technical skills...but when I'm in a role where I write papers more than work on equipment, those technical skills rust. To counter that, there needs to be more opportunity to take certification courses - to help keep the technical details more in practice.
