I worked at NCO Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is potential for big bonuses. However, the environment is very cutthroat, and new team members are not welcomed, but rather shunned and belittled.

    Cons

The employees that have been there the longest get the best inventory to work, and therefore receive the highest bonuses. They promise you the world and don't deliver. Horrible atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

Completely reevaluate your bonus structure, your managers, and the culture within your organization. I have never worked in a more stressful environment for such little pay. Stop changing the bonus structure all the time so nobody can make a living.

    Cons

    Pros

Good location easy commute from overland park, great hours, you get an hour lunch, friendly people to work with. Overall cool company

    Cons

No benefits, we was laid off without notice. They tried to have half the company off for two weeks and then the other come in...just to find out our job was ending...it was a horrible experience.

    Advice to Management

Better communication is much needed. Offer benefits to your employees. Find a better way to clock in in the morning than 1 central time clock.

Good start up job, ok pay, flexible schedules.

    Cons

Sometimes unorganized especially trainings. Lots of young people not really worried about a career. They just see it as anothe job.

I worked at NCO Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to gain analytical skills and client relation skills. It was fast paced and new projects were always rolling in.

    Cons

The supervisors on many projects weren't supportive throughout projects. Their expectations were unrealistic and often times did not proactively find out and understand client needs and demanded unrealistic deadlines. These deadlines did not incorporate time to mine data and perform the proper analytic skills. The hours weren't consistent and extra hours were often required.

    Pros

Nice people, would love to go back there to work.

Former Employee - Collections Representative in Dublin, OH

    Pros

Flexibility in making your work schedule. Decent wage for collections position+ good bonuses if you can get them, definitely attainable but requires hard work.

    Cons

QA monitoring that would,(could) affect your bonus. Favoritism from management when assigning accounts. Schedule requirements required two late nights a week and weekends.

    Advice to Management

Management was going through some transitional changes at the time, some good, some bad. I hope that the kinks were worked out in the Gov. division.
