I worked at NCO Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

not dealing with public, just answering inbound calls for DTE, $500 bonus for training

    Cons

training was pointless, 8a-12p on the phone listening to somebody talk

    Advice to Management

respond when ppl have their hands up, they be so busy talking to each other at their desks that they ignore ppl who need help

I worked at NCO Financial full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

employees are helpful, if you like no interaction with customer and sitting all day, perfect job for you, hearing relief in customers voices when you are able to restore services in dead of winter was cool, $500 training bonus for finishing, no cell phones are supposed to be on the floor but everybody had their phones out unless upper mgmnt came in

    Cons

the infractions situation horrible, they wont tell you if you have infractions, pay could be better, if you scheduled at 10a, make sure you are there at 930-945 to log in, coaches will sit and talk to "favorites" while everyone has their hands up, only act interested when Rusty was in the building, training was 4hr on the phone and laptop and was not effective, 2nd week of training was 9-5 on site, much better than phone but still lightweight unecessary

    Advice to Management

get off your butt and help, other agents shouldn't have to do your job, people hands are up for a reason, hire different coaches who are into helping when necessary and dont make you feel dumb for asking when you're new

I worked at NCO Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Above minimum wage and was good experience to have to eventually get into a better job. Met some great people and made some great friends.

    Cons

Expensive yet crappy benefits. Training sucks initial 3 weeks is extremely boring and you don't learn anything you really need. You learn on the floor but then get yelled at for not knowing. HR doesn't help and when incidents are "investigated" it means management talks to HR on how they are going to fire you and not pay unemployment. Extremely picky on little things unless you're a favorite. Anything you say will be held against you in the managers office. Say you're frustrated about not getting trained on a new change- you'll be questioned about why you work there. Dress up on day when you were allowed to wear jeans? Next thing you know you're in the office being questioned "Why are you dressed up? Did you have a job interview today? Are you looking for another job?"

Also- warnings are supposed to go verbal, written, final and then termination. Don't always expect that but do expect to have them to magically have warnings they gave you to have turned into a final. Without a doubt- management is faking documents.

    Advice to Management

Shut down or fire all management and start over. The company is probably too messed up to recover.
