    Pros

    Cons

not that great of a pay rate
training class should be 4 weeks not 6 weeks

    Advice to Management

Offer raises and a better pay rate and the turnover rate would go down

I have been working at NCO Financial (More than a year)

    Pros

40 hr work week and benefits which are not good.

    Cons

Working envrionment, no chance of promotion, unprofessional environment. Also safety is an issue.

    Advice to Management

Hire professional people and increase your hourly rate. You get what you pay for. The "team leads" are a joke. They are ignorant, unprofessional and are not interested in helping or coaching anyone. They do it because it allows them to not take phone calls. You'll continue to have a revolving door until you address employee concens. And discontinue penalizing employees when they need a bathroom break by taking it out of their scheduled breaks.

I have been working at NCO Financial part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

If the department is closing they will find you another job in a different dept. In 10 years I have moved departments 4 times.

    Cons

Benefits package is minimal and not competitive. When I started working there we had awesome health insurance. Good suggestions are not taken into consideration so there is a lot of turnover.

    Advice to Management

follow thru on what is promised and communicate quicker and in better ways. Be consistent with policy enforcement so it does not look like favoritism.

I worked at NCO Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was a great opportunity to gain analytical skills and client relation skills. It was fast paced and new projects were always rolling in.

    Cons

The supervisors on many projects weren't supportive throughout projects. Their expectations were unrealistic and often times did not proactively find out and understand client needs and demanded unrealistic deadlines. These deadlines did not incorporate time to mine data and perform the proper analytic skills. The hours weren't consistent and extra hours were often required.

    Cons

If your not a friend of the boss or family which is 90 percent of the employees then get tried poorly.

    Advice to Management

Not to hire friends and their friends.

I worked at NCO Financial full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice people, would love to go back there to work.

    Cons

Never received a pay raise after working there for 2 1/2 years.

    Advice to Management

Give your employees raising when you are suppose to and maybe they will be happy and stay.

Former Employee - Collections Representative in Dublin, OH

    Pros

Flexibility in making your work schedule. Decent wage for collections position+ good bonuses if you can get them, definitely attainable but requires hard work.

    Cons

QA monitoring that would,(could) affect your bonus. Favoritism from management when assigning accounts. Schedule requirements required two late nights a week and weekends.

    Advice to Management

Management was going through some transitional changes at the time, some good, some bad. I hope that the kinks were worked out in the Gov. division.
