I worked at NCO full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The bonuses and the work relation. It was like a family. I felt like management cared about you as a person.

    Cons

We was forced to work from home if we wanted to keep our job. The family atmosphere ended and you was just a body.

I worked at NCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My coworkers were great. Management at NCO was good. They really listened and offered assistance when needed.

    Cons

The company we contracted with was the problem. They changed the rules at the drop of a hat. We were left to explain to customers the new rules. Customers got very angry and took it out on the CSRs. We were all laid off, the company moved all Call Center jobs to the Philippines.

    Advice to Management

Don't let the client destroy the relationship between management and call center employees. The client was wrong to do what they did and everyone lost their jobs because of it.

I worked at NCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people were nice and made you feel welcome and you get an hour for lunch time

    Cons

The managers don't do anything but then yell when you don't do the job right. Favoritism plays a huge role too. Nobody gets promoted unless you kiss someone's behind all day. And I had signed an agreement when I first started working to be paid 10 an hour within 4 months it was down to 9

    Advice to Management

    Do something

I worked at NCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None. They dress up the job description and benefits to make you want to work here, just to find out in the end it was all a lie. If you want to work here for years without a raise and just be used as a number to fill seats like a robot, this is the perfect job for you.

    Cons

No raises, no loyalty, you are only a number, no vacation, PTO is automatically applied to your hours missed on your paycheck without your permission, therefore automatically taking away any time you need off. Excessive micro-management!

    Advice to Management

Quit your job and let real managers show you how to be a leader, run a business and inspire your employees!

    Cons

They will do anything to keep you from getting extra pay. They change the mectrics they measure every month with out warinng .

    Advice to Management

I wish you would have let us hand up on the people who cuss us out. it creates a hostile work environment.

    Pros

Steady schedule and opportunity for overtime. The pay was also above minimum wage.

    Cons

the job itself (taking gas company payments/billing) is generally pretty awful, lots of screaming customers, but that's to be expected.

    Advice to Management

Step up the office standards, the way some employees presented themselves was a joke.

I have been working at NCO (More than a year)

    Pros

The company has been in business for a long time. The work is permanent, and the employees build great friendships with fellow team members.

    Cons

There are no pay raises, employees shouldn't have to receive a bonus and work overtime to pay household bills. The medical insurance isn't affordable. Overtime is only given to certain employees not everyone. The people who grade quality are overseas.

    Advice to Management

Thoroughly train new employees before putting on the floor. Make sure all new policies are explained to all employees. The quality expectations should be explained to all employees so every employee can receive a bonus.
