    I worked at NCO full-time

    Pros

I suppose the fact that you're working with tech like the iPhone and XBox are cool, as are most of the co workers.

    Cons

They don't properly prepare you to do your job. We had to help people with iPhones, but they didn't so much as give us an iPhone to use to become familiar with.

The worst part of the place is the general manager.  He's a creepy jerk who leers at women instead of doing his job.

I was consistently one of the top three CSRs at that company. Customers continuously praised me for helping them. But some girl lied and said I yelled at one of my customers that I wouldn't help him, and the GM automatically believed her and fired me.

    Advice to Management

I think it should be obvious. Get rid of the GM. Give people better training, of course. But get rid of him.

I worked at NCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The only pro was meeting new people

    Cons

    This place was a joke.
Management was never to be seen.
Our so called bonuses were never given out.
Bumped to supervisor position because ours quit one day.
Than when I truly had an emergency that my house had been broken into I can't leave without being written up.
    Seriously!
Here I have the police on my phone telling me my house was broken into and you're going to write me up for leaving.

Not paid enoughand training was a joke.

    Advice to Management

    Be present.

    Pros

Many great people to work with. Everyone pulls their weight

    Cons

No drive to create career paths for talented people, so they stagnate in one role.

    Advice to Management

You are going to lose good people if they don't see where they can go within the company

I worked at NCO full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

My coworkers were great. Management at NCO was good. They really listened and offered assistance when needed.

    Cons

The company we contracted with was the problem. They changed the rules at the drop of a hat. We were left to explain to customers the new rules. Customers got very angry and took it out on the CSRs. We were all laid off, the company moved all Call Center jobs to the Philippines.

    Advice to Management

Don't let the client destroy the relationship between management and call center employees. The client was wrong to do what they did and everyone lost their jobs because of it.

I worked at NCO full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people were nice and made you feel welcome and you get an hour for lunch time

    Cons

The managers don't do anything but then yell when you don't do the job right. Favoritism plays a huge role too. Nobody gets promoted unless you kiss someone's behind all day. And I had signed an agreement when I first started working to be paid 10 an hour within 4 months it was down to 9

    Advice to Management

    Do something
