I have been working at NCR full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lots of nice and smart people to work with
    Good benefits package
Pleasant environment to work in with lots of common space (including a quiet area) and a new kitchen, and lots of separate meeting space

    Cons

Slightly quirky offices and out of centre location but is OK and has car parking
Can be difficult at times to coordinate effectively with remote people (for some teams) in the US

    Advice to Management

Keep up good work and help improve autonomy of teams here

I worked at NCR full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Completely un organised company alot of wasting time in your day work. So it enables you to play games on your phone while hanging around until your shift is over. Sometimes you do work and the work is great. If you love computers. This job is perfect for a 18yr old with no family or bills as its well under paid but gain loadsbon experience.

    Cons

Terrible shift patterns 2 to 11pm ..9.30 to 6. ...7.30 to 4.30......7day week followed by 3day week followed by 6 day week followed by a 4 day week....2 weekends including sundays every month..........well well under paid and silly pay rise even if u have work hard and deserve a good pay rise.

    Advice to Management

    Rubbish shifts...way way under paid...no incentives.....no benefits.....no discount...nothing

    Pros

No one gets on your back if you keep your head down, diverse equipment to work on

    Cons

Unrealistic targets from upper management who have lost touch with the field

    Advice to Management

Stop blaming ce's and look at yourselves

    Pros

Good working environment, enthusiastic, flexible, driven by goals rather than the clock, generous salary and benefits, great people, huge potential.

    Cons

Large organisation so can be bureaucratic, sometimes high pressure workload although this is not unexpected. Doesn't always leverage its potential.

    Advice to Management

    Just be realistic.

I worked at NCR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great stuff members, friendly environment, alot of support for new starters. Massive learning curve of computer/servers/networks/ hardware and software experience . This job is perfect for a 18yr who has no bills and looking for a way to step on the career ladder. (Definitely go for it)

    Cons

This is a American company so its not uk owned....Pure low, bottom grade salary and monthly pay. .if you got bills and family do a U turn and look else where unless your desperate .
Alot of wasting time on a working day, on a 9hour shift you will be driving for 5hours going to jobs that parts are needed or not delivered or going to collect parts.(that might be a pro)...
Controllers/management are nice ppl, but really stupid and un organised.(that might be a pro too)... a lot of wasting time... horrible shift pattern to destroy your social life....but after you pay your bills you have no moniess to socialise with.

    Advice to Management

Working hours and shift is stupid there is no work/life balance...pay package is rubbish, its need to be increased...you need to bring the controllers to UK.....YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO YOUR STAFF...i am so000oo glad i left!!! i am now in a amazing position, working with a amazing uk company....thanks god

I have been working at NCR full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent Hours, Plenty of optional overtime, Company van which can be used for private use if desired. Good rates of pay with performance based pay rises. As long as you are doing your job right you are left to your own devices and management let you get on with your life. There is also a rewards system for good performance, points are awarded to be exchanged for vouchers or electronic goods

    Cons

Parts can be a bit of an issue but this is usually down to the third party logistics company Rico. The call planners can also be a bit dumb sometimes.
