    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

    Wonderful peers to work with.

    Cons

    1) No allowed to take AL/ Child-care Leave / parental care leave. . . although it is our entitlement
    2) Forced to buy a phone and line so that the Director can contact on weekends without subsidy
    3) Company values hung on wall differ from reality
    4) Management cannot plan properly for annual routine exercise that ended- up employees working till midnight and sometimes till 2am
    5) A lot of unknown, unseen, unwritten protocols beyond policies
    6) So many meetings with nothing much conclusive
    7) Lack of communication but full of threats

    Advice to Management

You are happy with such high turnover?

    I worked at NCS full-time

    Pros

    - I enjoyed working with my coworkers in the same department; they were kind and helpful all the times.
    - Decent benefits for a Singaporean company.
    - Good 9 to 5 jobs for family-oriented workers.
    - Decent CSR programs that allowed you to give back to the society.
    - Decent pay rise.

    Cons

    - The sales teams could be overly aggressive and they would do anything to close their sales if the legal department did not stop them.
    - Do not expect too much bonus increase.
    - Rigid, conservative and old-fashioned management style (very much the opposite of Google).
    - The management team was reluctant to accept proposal for changes.
    - Work could be quite mundane and less challenging.

    Advice to Management

I hope the company has moved forward to new practices and policies in managing the company. To thrive in the tech industry, you have attract young and brilliant brains by undergoing major reform in the company. You should be more willing to accept proposal for changes instead of maintaining the status quo.
