    Great place to grow

Feb 2, 2022 - Recruiting Manager in Chicago, IL
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Sr level management & executives want individuals to succeed and provide resources for those that are willing to take advantage of them. The company mission is amazing & we get the chance to try to help better the lives of young student athletes and their future. Fast paced environment and always growing. Plus we get to talk sports all day long.

    Cons

Competitive environments create situations where if you want to succeed & advance you not only have to be on top of your current role, but you have to compete against others that are also succeeding, in a company with so many A players, the competition can be a lot.

    Solid Entry Level Role

    Oct 21, 2022 - Senior Recruiting Coordinator
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

    - Flexible and could travel while I work as long as I had good wifi and quiet enough environment for calls - Solid product - Truly felt made an impact on hundreds of young student-athletes that have no idea what they're doing to get recruited to college - Some managers were great to work with

    Cons

    - Ok income for entry level role out of college but not fantastic room to grow if you stay there long enough - Comp structure changed a decent amount, can't make great money if you're a top 15-20% RC, need to be top 5% - Monotonous work, felt like cog in the machine at times - Some managers treated you as just a number and were micro-managers

Great people. Can be tough work. Very monotonous.

    Nov 19, 2022 - Senior Recruiting Coordinator
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Managers are great for the most part. Everyone is very eager to help one another out. Pretty laid back. Can be yourself. Product and education truly is helpful for the majority of clients

    Cons

Compensation is below other similar roles at other companies. Bonus numbers vary each month and are often unrealistic. (Only a handful of RCs per level reach a bonus each month)

been in the workforce for 30 years, NCSA is The Best

Jul 20, 2022 - Recruiting Specialist in Charlotte, NC
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

high integrity. listens to employees and takes action to improve every aspect of the business from product, culture, employee, customer and processes perspectives. Mission driven. Industry leader, by far and doesn't rest on their laurels. Impeccable leadership who are approachable and responsive. The company is pretty flat. From my 2 years here, I haven't seen any politics, backstabbing, etc. Of the hundreds of employees I've interacted with, I have found that the quality of NCSA employees is second to none from a character, education, teamwork and work ethic perspective.

    Cons

for the Recruiting Specialist position, the schedule isn't for everyone but for the right folks it's unique and provides for a productive life giving you Monday through Fridays during the day off along with Fri, Sat and Sun nights off.

    Poor Decisions

Oct 6, 2022 - Recruiting Coordinator in Chicago, IL

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

Absolutely amazing group of folks to work with. They inspired me everyday to succeed.

    Cons

-Complete lack of work life balance -low base pay so they sell you on the idea of OT -absurd goals -recently aqquired by IMG and this increased pressure further -insanely high turnover rate -calling the same lead upwards of 5 times as an organization -high pressure envirorment leads to lack of customer service -90% of leads have no idea that they opted in so youre cold calling -lack of transparency for service cost -many complaints about lack of value from customers, calling families who have used the service with an older sibling is a massively high failure rate -immense feeling if being a cog in the machine

Culture
Last week was our annual NCSA Turkey Bowl! A week's worth of events, capped off by our company softball tournament. Congratulations to the 2022 champions, the Strasman Snipers! We weren't just competing for bragging rights, but for charity as well. We raised $5,000 for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, PAWS Chicago, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Center for Suicide Awareness. Thanks to everyone on the NCSA and IMG Academy teams for such a tremendous week!
