    Incompetent with Poor Leadership

    Pros

Co-workers were good team members and many of them talented. Several clients were great to work with. Agency allowed flexible work schedules with an option to work from home if needed.

    Cons

Leadership drove the agency to the ground. Wrong people placed in leadership positions. Leaders were not held accountable for poor results. Poor communication, no investment in employee training and development or upward growth. Overall bad culture of being expected to pretend that the culture was good, work around the clock to burnout and not being rewarded or recognized for your efforts. Pay increases were non existent other than for the leaders.

    Pros

    It’s a job and so there’s money.

    Cons

NDP is not an organized place. So much so that it gets in the way of creating good work. There are a lot of things that just aren’t working and I have little faith that most of the people at the helm are the ones to create success within the company. In other words, a majority of the leaders are questionable. If you want efficiency, it’s good to know that project managers are assigned offsite, a practice I’ve never heard of because guess what? It doesn’t work. Also, similar to most ad situations, don’t expect to get credit for your ideas or work, it’ll likely become someone else’s. This is not a creative agency, and I don’t believe it will be any time soon. If you’re considering a position, do so with caution.

    A mixed experience

    Pros

Worked with some very talented and dedicated people. At times, it was some of the most rewarding work I'd ever done. There are some excellent creatives, account managers, and support staff. Some managers/VPs were not only good at their skillset, but good leaders.

    Cons

Eclectic hiring and management habits. A few too many hired based on resume keywords or an impressive brand name listed. In need of a better vetting process to see if the hire would or could be successful. This latter trait made for very uneven work teams that often caused project and client tension.

Good people, good work environment, ok leadership

    Pros

Relaxed work environment and good people make this a nice place to work. The Chattanooga office in particular is very nice, but Roanoke isn't far behind.

    Cons

Salary increases are hard to get even with good performance. Leadership isn't always transparent about decisions that are being made. Roanoke and Chattanooga offices have shrunk of late with the Richmond office expanding; seems to suggest a lack of commitment to the two satellite locations.
