understand what is our core value in the company and hope to make a breakthrough to benefit the company as a whole rather than working on single short-term target

I have been working at NEC Corporation of America as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Rather than gaining something from you, they try to provide you with the best environment and training. My manager, Ronnie, is a really cool guy who knows how to take care of his interns. So far, I'm treated with respect and always involved in fun activities. Everyone is trying their best to help us interns in every way possible and make this experience a good one.

    Cons

None so far, I'll make sure to come back and update if I find some later on.

    Advice to Management

You're doing awesome with the accounting interns this year! I know this year is the first for the accounting department, but you guys are doing great so far! Ronnie, you the man!

    Pros

Management always communicates with you, benefits & pay were decent and company believes in a balance between work & family. If you are looking for a lot of overtime, this company is not for you. I loved working for NEC and would recommend NEC to any of my friends.

    Cons

I really did not experience any cons while I was working at NEC.

    Advice to Management

My only advice is, don't stop communicating to your employees and never take away the balance of work & family life. You will end up with a great team that will give you a 100%.

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere, dedicated employees, great benefits, good facility.

    Cons

Japanese management turnover, little 'skin in the game' before rotated out. Consistent direction and marketing vision needed.

    Advice to Management

Establish brand identity for NEC in the U.S. Separate Cisco sales channel under another name...to confusing to be selling a competitor on one hand while promoting NEC on the other. Support the Channel with serious marketing dollars nationally. Bring NEC innovation from Japan and establish reputation for great technology in North America.
