I have been working at NEC (Japan) full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Complete transparency for all those involved in the business. Management is open to the rest of the staff with projects, results, wins, etc. Opportunities for creativity and out of the box thinking for success of the projects with customers. Flexible.

    Cons

Due to the small size of the company, there is not much opportunity for mobility within the organization, and many of those there have been there a very long time. This may not necessarily be a negative, but know what you're getting into.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be proactive, flexible, while letting the creative people shine. Adopting new technologies in and older industry is helping move the business forward.

    I worked at NEC (Japan)

    Pros

Great Training, and great/helpful staff. Management wants you to suceed, if you show them that you're willing to put 110% into the company there is no cap on advancement.

    Cons

If you are not a self motivator and willing to work as hard as it takes, do not bother applying to this position. Either have both feet in the business or both feet out.

    Advice to Management

Because self motivation is the name of the game, I am sure that as time progresses being a better judge of character, earlier in the game will help with less wasted time.
