I worked at NEC Technologies India full-time

    Pros

You'll get onsite to Japan, at least for short duration Good to learn about Japanese culture Can facility(paid) Casual environment No hire and fire policy, what most IT companies are doing these days. You are kind of safe on bench.

    Cons

Only boot lickers get promotions and hikes People who spend more time in office are considered productive No work from home Too much politics and favoritism. Favourites get promotions every 2 years. Promotions and hikes are not linked to performance. Tight deadlines due to Japanese projects, thus you'll end up working on Saturdays and Sundays without any benefits. On usual days, you'll be asked to stay back late by managers. Poor management No cafeteria, just a small break out area with low space. Too many short term projects, no visibility for even 6 months.

    Cons

1- Highly-Unskilled-Premature-Self-Promoted-Top-Management 2- A company of 20-30 People with everybody else as slaves regardless of their designations. 3- Business Units with Old, Lifeless and No Projects. 4- Management is not able to win projects from outside NEC. I worked at NEC Technologies India full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I know I should put something in this column. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as "pros" in Nec.

    Cons

1)The managers in Nec don't seem to be from an R&D background. They are amazingly dumb. 2) Engineers spend most of the time working on excel sheets and word documents. 3) Management treats employees like slaves. 4) Forget about work life balance. 5) There is about 1 lead for every 2 employees. The only responsibility of the lead is to make sure that the people under him work 12 hrs a day and 6 days a week. 6) Nobody stays here for more than 2 years. 7) The management treats employees so badly that people look out for other opportunities within 6 months of joining the team. 8) Imagine working in a company without an internal communicator. You'll feel like u r in 1990s. 9) Please speak to the people who're working there currently before u make the terrible decision of joining nec.

I worked at NEC Technologies India full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good Technical stuff as they have multiple domain projects. Good people to work with, at lower level Employee Engagement from HR is good.

    Cons

    1. Favoritism...Perceptions...No Competency development.... 2. Very Bad Resource Utilization(Any one can be put in any domain, without knowing the interest of employee)... 3. Promotions on basis of perceptions and favoritism... 4. Management are not eligible to handle complex projects...as they are come from politically growing culture and almost not aware about technologies. 5. Working culture is very very bad....you will be fed up in almost a month. 6. Senior Management doesn't know about Testing domain and almost confused...and due to this does all the experiment to just execute the numbers of test cases...without knowing about quality. 7. you can be very successful if you are able to please the higher management...you will get promotions and Onsite opportunity, good salary hike etc...
