    Pros

Finding the right people here is key, so many talented and smart people come through this place!

    Cons

The location doesn't have much access to food, and the cafeteria has some real ups and downs.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting all the benefits, it makes your employees feel like they're getting squeezed.

    I worked at NET-A-PORTER full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked as a photo retoucher for 2 years and loved it. The retouch manager was great and as long as you worked hard, he did his best to reward you for it. They also pay well for a studio job and everyone pretty much makes the same amount for the same positions which is good and fair. Everyone is pretty friendly and socializes so it's easy to problem solve and do well.

    Cons

It's in the middle of nowhere, upper management is selfish and doesn't care about employees input for big decisions but I guess that's nothing different. Since the headquarters is in the UK, there isn't a lot of creative freedom in the Mahwah office since everything has to go through them first.

    I worked at NET-A-PORTER full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company appreciates the importance that IT plays in the business and is fully supported financially - they spend a lot of money on maintaining the existing IT environment as well as leveraging new technologies. It's always been a fun, nurturing place to work and employees are supported by upper management to succeed. As a disclaimer, I have to say that this applies to the global IT team only - I don't know how things are across other teams in the business.

They also encouraged internal advancement and supported employees that wanted to move up within the company. If you work hard and prove that you have the company's best interests at heart, it WILL be noticed and appreciated. Everyone has a chance to move up in this company, regardless of where you started. Off the top of my head I can think of at least 4 people that started out as temps/interns and ended up running their own team/department within a year or two.

    Cons

Not much to say that's negative, but one thing I did notice is that the company did have a difficult time transitioning from a small start-up to a much larger corporate environment, since they blew up so fast (In the U.S., at least). When I started in 2009, There were a total of 70 people in the US, including warehouse staff. By the time I left in 2014, there were 700 employees, and the business struggled to maintain that fun, exciting culture that was so prevalent in the early years and made it such a great place to work at.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

I have been working at NET-A-PORTER full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A handful of descent people, ok cafeteria, gym is tiny, but ok. The rotating schedule is good, let's us make a real living in our off days

    Cons

MANAGEMENT, MANAGEMENT, MANAGEMENT... tons of favoritism, childish manners of supervisors, the human resource department is just as bad, where did the hiring process go wrong???

    Advice to Management

Turn in your resignations, I've seen better management from my camp counselors when I was a kid, and to the people making decisions on salaries, you should be ashamed of yourselves, I've never seen a higher paid bunch of flunkies IN MY LIFE
