    Pros

    Netscout cares about their employees and treats them well.
    Benefits are great.
    Products are top notch
    Netscout is a very charitable organization. The company makes it easy to get involved and will match your contributions too.

    Cons

    Some internal processes are inefficient and can be frustrating. Engineering is somewhat insulated from sales which can be good or bad depending on your perspective.

    Advice to Management

    In general I would say keep doing what you are doing since I am rating Netscout highly. However, I might allow for more direct interaction between organizations within the company.

    Pros

    Company has great benefits and cares about the employees. CEO's philosophy is happy employees create happy customers and that creates happy shareholders. Security business is great addition to product portfolio.

    Cons

    Need more infrastructure and process to support larger company size from acquiring a big company.
    Need to raise the bar on performance to operate at the level needed for company size.

    Advice to Management

    Empower others to make decisions and lead. Make the tough decisions -- when you prune you get a healthier plant!

    Pros

    Very stable environment with positive long-term growth over the past 30 years. No one normally leaves the company for another position cause the benefits are good and company is stable.

    Cons

    BIG sized company now through all the acquisitions over the years that some folks get lost in the numbers. As noted above, no one leaves so growth opportunities are there, but limited.

    Advice to Management

    Nothing...doing great

    Friendly, Everyone willing to help, Able to choose tasks, Free icecream on Wednesdays

    Cons

    Only Intern, Cubicle layout so feel a bit distanced at times

    Have a more engaging internship program. Create teambonding events.

    Pros

    Entrepreneurial atmosphere. "Lean but now mean". Flex-time. Great benefits. Feel empowered. If you see something that needs to be done or a better way to do it, go for it and you will be rewarded. Great people. Very little attrition. Profitable, stable company.

    Cons

    This is a benign dictatorship, no democracy here. You need to be able to live with senior management overriding your decisions. You will wear multiple hats.

    Advice to Management

    I have little advice to offer senior management. I think they are doing a great job. I would recommend periodic communication of the company status and direction in the market.

    Pros

    * The products are very complex and difficult to master completely, which is a lot of fun for those who enjoy a challenge.
    * The company employs some of the best technical people in the industry which is both refreshing, helpful, and a little competitive in spirit.
    * The company has great relationships with some of the best customers in the world. Customers love NetScout products, the NetScout sales team, and the NetScout technical people that work for them every day.
    * Company leaders value employees (especially technical employees) and has never had a layoff. That doesn't mean that people haven't been let go for cause or shifting priorities. The company simply doesn't do the foolish hire-and-purge dance to appease shareholders.
    * The company is very, very conservative financially and dead-serious about regulatory compliance and workplace behavior/ethics. Absolutely no shenanigans are tolerated at NetScout.
    * Good compensation package and benefits.

    Cons

    * Career advancement is very slow partly due to conservative management posture, and partly due to a flat management hierarchy. These are not bad reasons, but career development and advancement doesn't seem to be an expectation or a priority either. NetScout is not the company for the ambitious.
