Better clientele than shops with lower price brackets (generally more accepting and cause less trouble) benefit schemes put in place are good
Cons
sometimes they fail to understand you have a life outside of next and other commitments such as education or childcare issues (for those part time) are not taken into consideration. Rota's are sometimes not in place within the 3 weeks you should be able to view them and shifts can easily get changed without yourself being asked.

Excellent environment to start your career
Dec 27, 2019 - Information Security Analyst in Leicester, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Right from the assessment day I was made to feel welcomed and valued in the business. My manager regularly tracks my achievements and offers any support he can. The ethos around the business is excellent and there are some great company benefits
Cons
Holiday and financial benefits are below average
Thanks for this awesome review. Seems that 'Life at Next' is really suiting you. We've made a real effort internally to make our employees feel valued and big community. Hopefully you've been getting involved with all the internal events we hold and there's plenty more coming your way with International Women's Day and Mother's Day coming to name a few!

Quite boring
Mar 31, 2017 - Sales Consultant in Guiseley, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Online portal to see your shifts and get overtime - Pay slightly more than the minimum wage for under 21s - Most staff are friendly - Good uniform allowance if you like Next clothes (the sizes didn't fit me very well though so I didn't really benefit)
Cons
- Some managers are rude to the sales consultants and staff who have worked there a long time bully new employees over uniform or nit pick at your performance constantly - If you get a low rating on your review you can't get overtime - It gets really quiet at around 5:30pm and if there are no bigs jobs to do it can be really boring with nothing to do - Training was very poor and given to me very late, I never got training on furniture orders even though I worked on home for nearly 7 months - When I first started I was given overtime without being asked or told, I regularly had 30 hour weeks on a 16 hour contract and couldn't give up unwanted shifts - Sales start ridiculously early - unnecessary and tiring - Quite a few products come in faulty and poor quality but are never sent back they're just put out until a customer buys it and returns it or complains
