Cons

Pros
Get good opportunities to experience other areas of work and pick up extra shifts. Regular reviews
Cons
Not always rewarded for doing well
Hi there thank you for your review. We are glad to hear you have been able to experience various benefits whilst working with us. Our Online Portal and Shift Swap system is a great tool which we encourage all our Retail Teams to utilise whilst working with the team. It not only helps to maintain a balanced lifestyle but provides opportunities for additional working hours which may suit you. We are sorry to hear you have felt work has not been rewarded. We like to ensure our staff health and wellbeing is priority amongst recognition for their work. We'd advise speaking to your Line Manager. Our team of Leaders and Managers are here to support their teams and ensure they feel positive whilst working in-store with us.

Pros
Shifts were organised well in advance, with an excellent HR system to alert employees any changes etc to their rotas. For being a christmas temp, I was still offered a christmas gift from the store which was highly appreciated. Shift flexibility was also great when you wanted to pick up extra shift/offer unwanted ones to other employees.
Cons
Over the two months I worked there, other than one manager who I saw occasionally, I only met my other managers once. This was disappointing. Experienced staff made it uncomfortable when you did not know what to do/were unable to carry out tasks swiftly (at first try) so they made you feel rushed and silly to not know what was going on.

Often forced into working overtime shifts that you are not available to fill on short notice. Will not enquire first before putting you into shifts outside of stated availability

Part-Time Sales Associate
Oct 24, 2017 - Retail Sales Associate in Braintree, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great place to work part-time during my studies at sixth form and during holidays while at university. they had good hourly bonuses with incentive to deliver the best customer service. An online shift market made it easy to pick up a few extra hours or offer shifts to other colleagues.
Cons
Generally there were very few cons. Working long hours around sales increasing pressure across the store made it difficult at times, although the extra hours did help out!

Pros
The managers are supportive and nice. Flexible hours and you can pick up extra shifts or swap with co-workers easily.
Cons
- The conracts are small meaning small hours and those hours are split into short shifts. - There isn't much progression in the company, on the retail side.
NEXT Response

My time at next
Mar 25, 2021 - Retail Sales Consultant in Brighton, EnglandRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Easy to understand all aspects of the business, with help throughout your time here. Once you get the hang of working here you it really helps you grow as an individual, whether that's having more responsibility or being more confident.
Cons
Pay could be better but than again there are so many available shifts to pick up extra.
