I worked at NFC Amenity Management part-time

    Pros

None. College students should run from this job. You can find another with higher pay and more benefits. They are under staffed and will have you 14 hour shifts.

    Cons

    1. We cant even use the pool, spa, suana or gym during down time.

    2. They also have this weird facial hair policy where they want you mustahce and beard shaved. When i first started the manager said it wasnt a big deal then it was only thing they were focused on.

3.. It's no respect for the employees personal life AT ALL. It's even rumors about the manager fraternizing with an employee less than half his age.

    4. Room for advancement is a scam. Someone has been working here for 3 years and no promotion. When I first came the manager quit because they told her they were going to give her a promotion but never did.

    5. Out of all these weird things they were asking for, compensation is less than averge at $10/hr

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep running a less than par company, stay consistent with your inconsistent ways.

    Pros

It is helpful if you are going to school. Then you can do your homework. It is really helpful for your homework.

    Cons

Clean desk. Answer calls. help resident. scan packages. write reports. give packages to resident. parking passes. keys. bla bla bla bla.Contractor Company. The leaders (managers, recruiters, supervisors) are the most who benefit from this company but employee not.

    Advice to Management

They need to give employee more chances and good salaries.

I have been working at NFC Amenity Management full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to advance being a part of a rapidly expanding and young company. Upper and senior management are great and very supportive.

    Cons

Lower salaries and poorer benefits than other companies within the industry as a result of the company being so young and small.

    Advice to Management

Improve the infrastructure within the company and better staff come with better wages!

    Pros

There are no Pros whatsoever for this company.

    Cons

Regional and Area management in the DC region have no regard for employees well being.
You will be among the lowest paid concierge staff in the metro area.
There is no training or company support after orientation.
Most sites are understaffed leaving you to work multiple shift which they often expect the single salaried employee to pull the weight. They do not supply with a uniform, don't believe the hype. You pay for everything!

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your people fairly and with respect and stop creating rumors. NFC managers would routinely visit the property and speak poorly of their clients and other employees.

    Pros

Pleasant work environment, supportive co-workers and supervisors, not micromanaged, room for advancement due to company growth, flexible hours, management open to hearing ideas, great coffee!

    Cons

    No 401K, expensive health insurance.

    Advice to Management

A 401K would be a valuable and attractive benefit to have and would attract a more mature workforce, along with more affordable health insurance.

I worked at NFC Amenity Management part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pros are networking with the residents, One property I worked at, I met Michael Jordan's daughter, and some other residents that were very nice and pleasant and very down to earth, don't require a lot, just love to chat and be acknowledge

    Cons

NFC Management staff are the worse to work for, they false advertise, they are very unprofessional. the director and assistant director expect you to find your own coverage if you can not work a shift. They also prefer to put a 19 year six month pregnant female on 3rd shift, in a resident building that is known to have shootings and drunk guests in and out of the building. If the assistant director didn't bring you on as a referral, she will do anything to get you fired, from deleting your shift notes and telling lies about certain staff to the hiring manager

    Advice to Management

Investigate and play back cameras, also, when terminating someone, what director leaves a voicemail on a staff's cell phone stating, I apologize for the unprofessionalism, but here are the ground rules, if any residents invite you for a visit you are not allow to visit them. But you haven't been banned from the property in front of law enforcement.

    Pros

Lots of room for advancement with NFC. Company values a work/life balance. Upper management cares about employees. Pay is good.

Wish employees got holidays off or were paid more for working them. Human Resource department is not easily accessible. No 401k offered.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time

    Cons

    Management
You clock in on paper; not electronically
    No communication
Very unprofessional; yet still tries to be professional

    Advice to Management

Communicate more with the people below you, such as concierge and please update the way you pay. As strict as the company is they should compensate the employees more.
