I have been working at NHS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I love getting stuck in with the medical side of the job and knowing I am making a direct positive impact on people in need!

    Cons

Hard to get the annual leave you need, and working in the community for the NHS can often make you feel very vulnerable and unsupported (in my role anyway!)

Current Contractor - Health Care Support Worker in Rotherham, England

I have been working at NHS for less than a year

    Pros

This role gives me a broad experience of working with and fulfilling the needs of service users. I find it very rewarding facilitating the workplace by helping the service users to improve their self-esteem, and encourage people to use their time positively, steering them away from their addictions.

    Cons

Although I thoroughly enjoy what I do,in a perfect world it would be great to be paid for what I do.
