    Pros

Good team and friendly people. Trying to help me develop what career I want to be doing and setting up things to help with this.

    Cons

Lack of variety of tasks on a day to day basis. Sometimes not enough work to do. Office setting so not a variety of different places to visit.

    Advice to Management

Try and make tasks more varied and to note strengths of staff so that they have opportunities to develop themselves further and to progress.

I worked at NHS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits to employees. Flexible. Ability to progress. Rewarding workplace in some areas

    Cons

Too much middle management. Short term thinking. Needs complete rethinking of implementation of service and taken out of political point scoring

    Advice to Management

Could liaise more effectively with teams and be seen rather than just heard

I have been working at NHS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Job safety, satisfaction and support. Good and clear career progression with in house training available. Good access to resources such as HR occupational health. Pay is not reflective in commitment I put in. But at the same time quick career progression has compensated for that.

    Cons

Career progression is slow unless you are willing to move hospitals. Salary is banding therefore no incentive that work hard get paid more.

    Advice to Management

Firmer management strategies to eliminate individuals with weak productivity.

    Pros

A provider of health services in the Uk. Services are always psid for through central taxation.

    Cons

People believe the service is free so accept a substandard service. The level of service regarding the basics needs improving.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the basics and do them well. This will raise standards and improve moral. Try and maintain the aim of your service

I worked at NHS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent opportunities to develop your career path and had good management support, good training available - decent annual leave and other benefits.

    Cons

Salary bands were on the low side, a lot expected from individuals, above and beyond job description- lots going on and could be chaotic but kept it fairly organised and survived.
