I have been working at NIFCO America Corp (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nifco is a great company that offers fantastic benefits.

    Cons

Training for the job is sometimes non-existent. People are left to figure out by themselves and often create more work for themselves. Lacks departmental communications.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work hard and invest in departmental training.

I worked at NIFCO America Corp (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, Benefits, air-controlled, servo-driven presses, clean, continuously growing (job security)

    Cons

Collective communication, standardization of work performance, training, teamwork (or lack there-of)

    Advice to Management

Enforce some type of standard, work on training (the one-point-lesson is just a sign-off.. and done), emphasize teamwork to get things done, and if you hire someone for a specific shift, either put them on that shift... or tell them prior to start day, that the situation has changed. (Honor your word) :D

I worked at NIFCO America Corp full-time

    Pros

The office environment is very relaxed; no uniforms, and eating and drinking is allowed at the desks. The people are generally great to work with. The benefits are great; it would be hard to find another company that takes care of its employees as well as Nifco when it comes to benefits. Vacation is available to employees right away.

    Cons

Many of the systems used are very outdated; most computers run extremely slowly and other IT functions are frustrating to deal with, though I know they are working to fix that currently. Extremely high turnover, especially in management positions; this means management is often very out of touch with lower level associates. There are no real procedures in place for many positions as well, which means one's daily tasks vary from week to week. Management often asks for input from employees, but rarely listens. Like any company, there are some terrible managers and team leaders that upper management turn a blind eye to while they do a very poor job on a daily basis. Advancement opportunities are decent due to high turnover, but promotions often lead to less job security.

    Advice to Management

Listen when you ask for input. Promote from within. Reward employees that give extra effort.

    Cons

No employee developemnt. No time off until you complete your first year.

    Advice to Management

Align company goals with associates. No one really has a clue of a direction you want to go.

    Pros

I was inside out of the weather.

    Cons

This company lies to you during the interview. They tell you that you will work a 90 day probationary period and that you will go full time, permanent, with insurance benefits when they have no intention of hiring you whatsoever. I saw them do this to myself and at least 15 other employees, all of whom (including myself) left to find a real job elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

    Stop deceiving your potential talent.
