    Positive Outlook

I have been working at NOR-LEA HOSPITAL DISTRICT full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Above the line benefits: Retirement plans, health/dental/vision insurance, Aflac, Aerocare Free Membership (ambulance helicopter for employees and household family), PTO, medical expense card, 50% gym membership reimbursement, good work environment, focus on patient and family good care. High community participation. Job security. Open door policy. Annual summit meetings for employees to voice their concerns.

    Cons

Not very competitive pay, actually below the area average. Raises are conditioned to top 4% a year or less depending on economy. No christmas bonus. No much chance for advancement since employees tend to last there for a long time. Overworked employees since there is a shortage of qualified labor or skilled labor in the area for healthcare and the big expansion in recent years and no hiring so more obligations with same pay.

    Advice to Management

Show more appreciation for hard working employees, more competitive salaries.
