I have been working at NPD full-time

    Pros

Nice people, flexible hours (open to telecommuting)

    Cons

Difficult to "get things done" even as a relatively small private company, lacks innovation and data systems are slow and antiquated.

I have been working at NPD full-time

    Pros

If you live on Long Island, you can avoid the commute to NYC

    Cons

Slow, old-fashioned and reluctant to change. Once a near monopoly in its industries, NPD struggles to adjust to the emergence of new competitors.

    Pros

Coworkers are excellent and super nice. Work-life balance is pretty good here.

    Cons

You might need to spend a long time in order to be an expert in what you do. There are many people working here for more than 10 years so they are quite familiar with the workflow. But it's a little challenge for new employees to pick up everything quickly.

I worked at NPD full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked the help desk for a little while and while it is frustrating having to deal with computer illiterate people the overall atmosphere of the place was nice.

    Cons

Office politics are real, I remember getting chewed out by one of the heads of a department for calling the wrong person once.

    Advice to Management

    Chill.

I have been working at NPD (More than 8 years)

    Pros

in my role flexibility, good colleagues and peers, benefits are good. there isnt much more i can but i need to write a 20 word minimum

    Cons

constantly fire fighting, layoffs in US offices continually, training is negligible, expectation to do whatever necessary to get results so that work at nights, weekend and during the weekend is standard, constantly changing corporate goals and trying new org models that dont really work out

    Advice to Management

invest in people and not try to change the organisation constantly just to get a better bottom line at any cost
