    Positive Outlook

I have been working at NPP (National Purchasing Partners) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Positive, wellness driven culture.
Managers are open to dialogue with you about personal and professional development.
    Flexibility with in-office hours
Variety in work, ability to create your own projects.

    Cons

Currently transitioning as a business, so things can get a little hectic, but it won't be hard if you're self motivated and bring your thinking hat.

Management has their doors open, but you'll likely have to walk in and step up if you want to get the most out of the development opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Continue invest in genuine and visionary leaders who can provide hard working team members with goals and development opportunity. They will pay you back with their dedication and commitment to securing measurable results for the company.

I worked at NPP (National Purchasing Partners) full-time

    Pros

This place was once an environment where hard work and adaptability were rewarded. 8 years ago would have been a great time to start here but you'd be gone by now.

    - Staff is made up of mostly pretty great people. I'm just not sure why they are still there.

    Cons

    - Inept leadership
    - No vision to grow business
    - No Direction
    - No Transparency
    - No development of staff
    - No acumen
    - Culture is in the tank
    - If you've read "Made to Stick" or "Tribal Leadership" then you could be a C-Suite Executive here
    - Execs are rarely in office creating a culture where employees don't want to be in office
    - People who were strong pillars of this organization have left and are all happier for it
    - People who have eroded the culture and damaged business for years are still part of this company

    Advice to Management

    Retire

    Pros

Great people to work with and I think the company is attempting to move in the right direction. The pay seemed pretty competitive once through their transition as well. Great location for getting in and out of downtown.

    Cons

Slow moving: Whether its higher priorities or bandwidth, it takes longer then needed to get anything done.
Old vs New: Leadership seemed to bump heads on many decisions, leaving employees to be caught in the middle. Though they are attempting to better the company, this internal struggle may not let them get there.
Not a lot of opportunity for advancement.

    Pros

It's a nice atmosphere to work in, and my co-workers are tolerable.
    Sometimes we get free lunches.

    Cons

The, uhh, management is kind of terrible. People who do nothing get rewarded for no reason, and the few people who actually work hard get all of the work piled onto them.
If someone is causing trouble and you report them, nothing happens.
I'm pretty sure one of the people in management is very insecure about his masculinity. He's pretty sexist and racist.

    Advice to Management

There are people who are dragging down this company and they absolutely need to leave. I'd start with the management.

    Pros

I’m surprised to read these reviews. Sounds like sour grapes from the same individual. Personally I am very happy working at NPP and I know for a fact others feel the same. The work/life balance is great. If your idea makes business sense, it will be heard. The key is you have to make it happen.

    Cons

Not much. Relatively young company. More experience within management would be beneficial.

    Pros

A few really good people there.

    Cons

So unorganized. Lots of inexperienced twerps who would never be hired at this level for any other company--most and ready and willing to steal your ideas and accolades for themselves. This creates a basic mistrust throughout the company.

    Advice to Management

Hold on for dear life. Your time is limited.

I worked at NPP (National Purchasing Partners) full-time

    Pros

Easy work. Not held accountable for anything. Just nod and agree with leadership and you will be good.

    Cons

Zero follow through. If you have a good idea someone takes credit for it. If you have a thought or idea that somehow is not in line with leadership (you won't know until it is too late) you will get pulled a side and be reprimanded.

    Advice to Management

Show people what you expect and not just talk about it. Lead by example. Pick a path and stick with it.
