I worked at NRG Energy full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Diverse dynamic company, lots of opportunities to work in a variety of roles. and grow. Benefits are good and the company generally is sincere in caring about employee welfare.

    Cons

Change brings opportunity but also creates stress. NRG has undergone some much restructuring and acquistions which creates confusion on the strategic direction and conflicts between groups. As a company heavily exposed to movements in the energy market, the company's economic outlook can change dramatically for good or bad with little notice.

    Advice to Management

While change is a constant, the company needs some time to set a clear strategic direction and align roles. Mauricio should bring a steady hand to the company.
