    Pros

NRG is a large company and gets a lot of public attention. You'll get the opportunity to work on large projects with significant impact.

    Cons

The company needs to work on its acquisition integrations. There is no formal onboarding process. Acquired employees should also be titled up or down accordingly... titles mean different things at different companies.

    Advice to Management

Don't execute acquisitions without diligence... spending several billion dollars for scaled platforms without knowing what your getting into is a disservice to your shareholders.

    Pros

Fantastic Director who supports function. Provides the ability and support to show initiative for new ideas. Good executive management. Good working atmosphere and very friendly people.

    Cons

As a independent power producer, most power generation plants are coal/oil and need constant upkeep. With regards to current and possible future government regulation, the company should become more active than reactive.

    Advice to Management

The Risk Management Department should become more involved with the executive decision making process in all areas of the company.
