    "Poor management"

    Pros

Based in centre of town and have some clients due to length of time in the market

    Cons

Culture of fear. Everything you do is monitored. Senior management have a tendency to hand out "dressing downs" in front of colleagues.

    Advice to Management

Treating everyone like children is not a way to encourage growth

    I worked at NRG full-time

    Pros

    The website is very good

    Cons

A really negative working environment, the staff live in fear of the owner. Anyone thinking of joining this business should first look at Linked In and see how many people have left this year already

    Advice to Management

Treat people with respect and you might find you have less resignations

    I worked at NRG full-time

    Pros

I am struggling to think of any

    Cons

A company that lacks any strategy or direction both in terms of its staff's development and overall business goals which appear to change on a week by week basis.
Training is non existent and is on the job - I would not recommend taking a job at NRG without prior recruitment experience as you will be exposed and unsupported.
Progression is not an option for staff at NRG and strengths are rarely acknowledged.
Overall management is erratic and usually based on fear with screaming and shouting being a common occurrence from the owner.

    Advice to Management

    Time to retire!

I worked at NRG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People in the office were nice, HR lady lovely.

    Cons

Limited career progression or funds to advertise for specific markets or post too many adverts which made day to day recruitment tough

    Advice to Management

Involve new starters more as I didnt feel very included when I came in to the office and was left to my own devices.

    Pros

Well established regional business and brand in prime city centre location. Sone great loyal people work there, could be great place to work.

    Cons

Management style old fashioned, aggressive & lacks thought - many spirits broken. Lack of investment in staff or technology, Short term vision, not moving with the times & take advantage of good will.

    Advice to Management

Board & heads of need to look at themselves as to where the culture & behaviour stems from.

    Pros

recognised company, good products, freedom to do job. if you're in the right job and team, the morale can be good.

    Cons

bad work/life balance, average career opportunities, pay not enough for hours and effort put in.

    Advice to Management

look after dedicated knowledgeable staff or they'll leave. How can you spend millions on 'improving the system' and in the meantime keep your customers and staff in the dark

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at NRG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some great people here and a great track record in the region - many established clients and a positive working environment

    Cons

Some processes could be made more effective but that is being addressed, other than that - no issues!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing as it works! Processes and internal communication could be better but, as mentioned, that's being addressed.
