I have been working at NSK Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

At this time, there are no pros because you can get a 401K from any company, valuable employees that were hardworking and there long term were mistreated and let go OR they went to other organizations because of the downfall of the organization and the power control management teams.

    Cons

The insurance is entirely too expensive, innovative minds are not appreciated, valuable employees with years of experience in the company whom worked overtime and were passionate are being terminated, management does not manage quality teams but yet creates a "friendship" circle for their little friends to grow while others are left unappreciated and unseen, policies and procedures are not being followed across the board, there is no work-life balance, and the worse is yet to come.

    Advice to Management

    Change your management. Period.

    Pros

    Desent pay. Great co workers.

    Cons

No weekends off unless u take vac. Alot of 12 hr shifts with the weekends no family time. Very POOR management treats employees like numbers and work horses. Unless you were management then you got to see your family.

I worked at NSK Corporation (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Professional operational management, human resources, policies procedures, company market position, leadership focus and communications, understanding markets they participate in and empowering employees to be successful. Offices and facility is top class, has flexibility for events in commons area, with employee recognition and bonuses for all when company performs. Great lunch and cafeteria.

    Cons

Some politics at the top as with most companies. Some exclusive groups of employees who all worked at the same company work to control who is successful, gets credit, who unfairly gets criticized. Non-Japanese executives and senior management take advantage of kind Japanese who have worked to adapt to do business in America, at times appearing to hoodwink many with poor inventory sell off, selling best inventory, hurting loyal customers, but benefiting a few outside normal compensation.

    Advice to Management

Retire those who promised to retire to fixed dates. Japanese to take back more control until trustworthy stewards of company are in place. Eliminate forms such as reporting formally if seeing former colleagues in customer lobbies, at the mall with family, which is enforced with onsite legal staff. Cease investigating medical records of employees and informally providing medical directions which include use of FMLA.
