I have been working at NTT DATA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Competitive salary.
Adequate bench policy for transitioning between account assignments.
Managers from acquired organizations are solid leaders.

    Cons

The HR department is subpar. At most, you'll get a 25% response rate to their "Ask HR" form, and if you're lucky enough to receive a response, the answer you get may be inadequate, irrelevant, or outright inaccurate.

Don't count on the GRM (Global Resource Management) department to help place you once your current assignment ends. Assume you're on your own and good luck finding anything.

Insurance benefit packages are amongst the worst I've seen in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Take a good, hard look at what your HR department is doing and listen to what people are saying about it. As an IT Services company, your employees are your greatest assets, but it sure doesn't feel that way.

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

Health insurance for a high deductible plan for families is $900 a month!

Raises don’t even match the rate of inflation, even for those employees that ‘exceed expectations’

    HR does not exist

Management ignores issues with ‘problem’ employees’ because of personal preference.

    Advice to Management

Invest in better health insurance. Many of your contracts are with large hospitals!!!

Give raises to your superstar staff that are greater than 3-5%

I worked at NTT DATA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nothing positive came from working at this crap company

    Cons

When they took over Dell their onboarding sucked! It took 5 months for them to never get my information into the system, repeatedly locking me out on computer, have my ID badge not work several times and to not be paid. Took me 6 months of fighting with their HR department and threatening to call Labor Dept and get attorney before I received any kind of compensation which still didn't cover all I was owed! They had excuses for delay and swore it had been sent though it never was! This place is a joke and I tell everyone I know to avoid this place. Glad I quit when I did. Can't believe they let their employees lose their home (can't pay rent with no pay), go hungry etc like they did. Worst part it happen over Christmas too. Try telling your kids that santa isn't coming this year

I have been working at NTT DATA full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Co-workers for the most part are committed to the company even though the company does not reciprocate. Probably a great gig if you get an executive job since you don't have to work much and get paid a lot.

    Cons

I was acquired from Dell Services and things went downhill fast. NTT is antiquated in their systems and thinking. Many of the managers are incompetent and their only accomplishment is not being qualified for another job so they have stuck around. Frequent layoffs of those doing the work in order to hire more executives that don't seem to do anything. No bonuses or raises for the last several years and no promotions. Payroll is horrible. No one seems to know anything and paychecks are constantly incorrect. I'm sure they will "fix" this by hiring another executive. Benefits are far worse than at Dell and much more expensive. Tiny 401K match.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the top of the house. Take a long look at who is doing the work versus who is costing the most. Focus on best performers, not who has been with NTT the longest and definitely not those at the top who can't seem to do their jobs. There is a reason everyone is so miserable and the company can't make its numbers.

I have been working at NTT DATA full-time

    Pros

Freedom to work from home occasionally

    Cons

Awful corporate leadership. Our CFO has threatened to fire people in the organization if they refusal to take another position, because they "don't like to let people get comfortable with their job." We are also made to fear for our job if we submit overtime hours, even though overtime is essentially a requirement for the position.

    Advice to Management

Stop acquiring new companies, and do something about the bully culture in the upper management of finance in the US business.
