    move slow in any ways. bureaucratic, need company politic power for pursuing anything.

    Pros

    With the right background and ability, Network Programming can be fulfilling work. You need be be a self starter, fast learner and have good comprehension of legal contracts and documents. Understanding television and products, marketing and sales is a must.

    DOCOMO PACIFIC is a Japanese owned corporation with Japanese work ethics.

    Pros

    Benefits of working for a large corporation in a small company setting. Working with some of the brightest people from Japan. Very good benefits.

    Cons

    Full of large company bureaucratic redtapes and politics even though it's a small company. As mentioned by other reviewers, second class citizen treatment of local employees by expats from Japan.

    Advice to Management

    They need to realize that how it's done in Japan isn't always the right way, and need to listen to, and find ways to motivate the local hires.

    - Many great technical minds in one place
    - Technically interesting work
    - Looks very prestigious on your resume

    Cons

    - Not much real-world follow though on technical development outside telephone network in Japan
    - No follow though on anything business related anywhere

    Advice to Management

    None - I think management is satisfied and is not going to listen to any advice.

    - Most positions will give you a lot of opportunity to learn about wireless
    - Great benefits, salary growth is acceptable
    - Name brand is great in the field of wireless and IT

    Cons

    - As a non-Japanese, opportunities for career growth are limited
    - Company is somewhat stubborn in its management
    - There is a sense of growing dissatisfaction within the company in terms of strategy and policies
    - As DOCOMO USA, you are sometimes not seen internally as being on par with DOCOMO Japan

    Pros

    the environment at DCMI was great before the new shareholders came in. hours were great and benefits (other than salary) was not bad

    Cons

    lack of direction post acquisition caused many to fear for their own jobs and to leave for some place else. stagnant growth/downward contraction in sales means costs cutting each year

    Advice to Management

    try to pick up after where Docomo left at. The profile of the shareholder may affect the management style but a smooth and transitional change will help staff be more confident in the future of the company

    Big company, nice benefits, satisfying pay with two bonuses a year

    Cons

    Do not know know to handle non-Japanese at all: no plan, no vision, just expect miracle will happen

    Advice to Management

    Hiring a little people around the world with no plan will not make you goes international

    Learning while on projects. Working with professional multinational colleagues.

    Cons

    unless you have direct contact with the upper management, your direct manager controls you. If you are lucky you will have a good manager who cares.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in 360 performance management where the employees and their managers are graded equally.
