    -pro family
    -provides company transport
    -some colleagues are easy going

    Cons

    -political
    -some management are lousy. quick to claim credits and disorganised.

    Advice to Management

    -should have peer review among teams and reviews on own team managers.

    Majority of the colleagues working there are very nice people

    Cons

    No point of bringing up your grievances as it won't get resolved

    Pros

    Good learning ground for job seekers with entry level skills, where they provide much needed trainings and guidance.

    Cons

    has poor career progression - my colleagues who worked very hard for 5 years but was not promoted at all.

    Advice to Management

    Spot talents and groom them faster. Do not wait until when an employee is leaving for the management to take action in trying to promote and keep the employee, lest every employee does that...

    I have been working at NTUC Fairprice as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Able to learn many things and gain a lot of experiences in working life.

    Cons

    Office politics, low pay, slow pace working life, differential treatment between temp staffs and full time staffs. Low chances of career advancement. Do within the box and inflexible.

    Advice to Management

    Invest more time and money in human relations to develop a better working culture.

    Pros

    Get to know first hand what type of new products are available in a megamart. Not much office politics and gossiping.

    Cons

    Job is monotonous and routine. There is not much of job satisfaction. Besides, there is not much of job advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Create some interesting posts in the job ladder. Create a pre school centre, gym, and bar for employees to relax and chill.

    Pros

    You get to meet interesting (albeit frustrated) people who like to preserve status quo. Also, they tend to put the staff in fairly good hotels for overseas trips. No expenses are spared if you are on overseas business.

    Cons

    Change is not something that is encouraged. They will do alot of research to prove this and cling onto the old ways of doing things. Also, expansion and growing a third wing is just a corporate presentation catch phrase with little or no committment. Also, quite a fair bit of internal strife and tension between the various departments.

    Advice to Management

    Grow up and look at your market share. You've lost your leading retailer and top supermarket chain status. Cash out now and sell to the competitor.
