Great place to build a career

      Pros

Higher salary than any other local businesses. Great training and opportunities for advancement. Great office environment (I know this is highly location specific but my office is incredible.) I look forward to going to work every single day. Sick time is flexible and compassionately handled, as is medical leave. The company is hugely focused on retention and even if you struggle, will work on improvements instead of dropping the axe. The collaborative coaching process replacing dreaded performance reviews has been fantastic. Work life balance is respected even though the job can be intense at times.

      Cons

Monthly pay is absolutely inhumane. I know most people have two income households but for those of us who don’t have a spouse as an equal earner, it can be brutal. I am not overly impressed with the health plan offered - the monthly expense and out of pocket costs are a strain. I personally wish there were more local growth opportunities to strive towards as a loan processor other than an eventual upgrade to loan officer - underwriting, closing, etc. are all centralized out of state. Obviously not a problem if you’re able to relocate but I feel like years down the line my options will be limited locally.

      Office Politics and Low Pay

      Pros

Cool people - Most of the company has gotten young, so if you get in with the right to be on your side at work you will cruise through the job. Unlimited sick days - there is no limit to how many sick days you get out of the year. Most managers are cool about your sick days as long as you bring a doctor's note. No overtime ever - they do not require you to work any overtime ever, which is pretty damn good if you want a good work/life balance. Everyone is friendly - For the most part, everyone is pretty nice to everyone except for maybe a couple of the managers. If you are into being friends with your co-workers outside of work, then this is the place to be, BUT this only applies to all the departments except the title.

      Cons

The pay is so BAD there. There is nearly no way for you to make anymore money because they are so cheap when it comes to paying for their employees. Especially, when they talk so much about how the company's stocks are worth so much. There is only one or two departments where you can make more money and that is the IT department. If you have and IT background, go because their salaries there are easily 6 figures, but I am NOT talking about the help desk people. So keep that in mind. PTO/Vacation time SUCK - although you get an unlimited about of sick days, you have to be at the company for 5 years for you to go from 10 days off to 15 days off. Most other places I've worked at usually start you off at 3 weeks or you can get 3 weeks within the first 3 years at MOST. Outcasts - like I said before, the people are cool and they are friendly BUT ONLY if you align yourself with the right people. If you have a hard time fitting in, they will pick on you. I've seen managers and co-workers pick on great employees who get all their stuff done in time and correctly just because he/she was different. There are so many cliques at this company that if you don't hang with someone, they will tear you up. Office Politics - The pay is not only horrible, but so are promotions. If you are one of those people that want to move up the corporate ladder quickly, then this place is NOT for you. The hidden rule about this company is that you've got to be at your position for AT LEAST 7 years before they even think about giving you a promotion. I am not talking to be a manager or anything like that, but just to go from a Jr position to a Sr level one. the worst part is that your salary only increases by just a tiny bit more, which is something I've never seen before after giving yourself to the company for 7 years.

      Mostly good

Jul 8, 2020 - Disclosure Desk in Pittsburgh, PA

      Pros

benefits, pto, work-life balance, hours, pay, environment

      Cons

Training- sups only teach you more when theyre ready to teach you more even when you ask, they dont train you on everything so certain errors or issues come up that force you to depend on your supervisor (who are usually pretty responsive and very nice). Raises seem to be less than the national average of cost of living, if they are performance based I was not told that.

Company has so much more potential!

      Pros

Above average salary, good systems. Good training programs.

      Cons

Poor corporate culture, work - life balance is very poor, do not value individual employees. With up turn in the industry have noticed that many employees are leaving due to being burned out and micro managing style. Everything is about the data and the numbers even if that means stepping over an employee or customer.
