I have been working at NYC Department of Human Resource Administration

    Pros

TransitChek MetroCard The Health Insurance packages available to employees.

    Cons

The upper management does not even acknowledge the presence of lower level employees. Very unprofessional environment where people openly curse around other staff. Very low staff recognition. You do not get 2 weeks vacation time every year. You only earn a vacation day after every month. So, you much be very patient in accumulating that time. Actually the work I do is at an Staff Analyst level (higher pay scale), but I am stuck as a caseworker.
