    Advice to Management

Figure out the balance between company culture and bureaucratic inter-office policies

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at NYSE full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Visibility, exposure can be a plus. Sits at the center of the financial world. Access to high profile clients and potential to build significant network

    Cons

Too many too list. Unless you are on the 6th floor or want to coast through your career and rot your brain don't sign up. The place is filled with mediocre middle managers who are protecting each other and being ignored by the small team at the top.

    Advice to Management

pay more attention to the role you were meant to play - raising capital for issuers. Stop obsessing with HFT and trading and focus on serving investors with a fair market and no rebates

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at NYSE

    Pros

    - Great brand - Some great people

    Cons

    - Tribal in the extreme - Made up of many factions from previous mergers and acquisitions that have not been integrated - Senior technology management do not have the skills or experience to achieve objectives - Layers of middle management - Group Executive are liked and respected but have taken their eye off the ball and not focused on building the culture and ethics of respect they espouse

    Advice to Management

You guys are missing an opportunity to build a great company. Get focused on the target.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at NYSE full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Advice to Management
