    Pros

    opportunity to grow, great benefits

    Cons

politics, no paid overtime, employees are spread thin and too many "bosses"

    Advice to Management

there are too many directors, assistant directors and administrative assistants overseeing lower level employees with conflicting desires and information. I am currently overseen by three supervisors, none of which really understand the day to day work that goes on in the lab.

I worked at NYU Langone Medical Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent salary for non-entry level positions.

    Cons

The DCM department (formerly known as DLAR) overworks their staff with mandatory overtime (50-60 hrs/week) which includes weekends and holidays. They are constantly short-staffed and unable to retain new employees, fast turnover rate, unwilling to acknowledge faults and improvements that need to be made within management. There is an overall hostile environment between management and their employees.

Lobby security personnel are unprofessional, in a hospital setting patients should not be struggling to open doors. Cleaning services should not be harassing guests to finish using the restrooms. There is an overall below average quality level of service that one would not expect from a "top" Manhattan hospital.

    Advice to Management

Improve work/life balance. The DCM department (formerly known as DLAR) overworks their staff with mandatory overtime (50-60 hrs/week) which includes weekends and holidays. They are constantly short-staffed and unable to retain new employees, fast turnover, unwilling to acknowledge faults and improvements that need to be made within upper management. I would suggest
