    Pros

The role was very structured and there was not much margin for error if you followed the guidebook. The clothes are cute and the work was easy.

    Cons

The company was run by Mormons and it was super obvious. This isn't a problem at all for me personally, but it should be kept out of business interactions. Customers were very brand loyal and entitled.

    Advice to Management

Relax your dress code, relax your customer interactions, stop pushing add ons and sales goals. Customers see through the script so fast and it makes shopping awkward.

I worked at Naartjie Kids full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -Flexible hours
    -Employee discount
    -Team work, Team building
-Managers kept in touch with each other and the District Manager which helped with sales and promotions
    -Small company, unique

    Cons

-Little room for growth into management positions unless people left, which wasn't often
-Return policies wrecked sales goals (I had one situation where someone bought a ton of items on sale, then brought them back after the sale ended for the full price of the item. We were obligated to do this according to our policy) -- after things like this nothing was changed.
-Did not stock "typical", everyday type of items, despite customers' interest from the company

    Advice to Management

-Listen to customers, add certain types of items if that is what they want to buy from you in particular even if it isn't quite as unique. You have a customer base that would rather go to you for quality than to large department store.
-Change policies to save yourself, but keep customers. There is no reason my above issues with return polices should have happened more than a few times, especially when I knew it would happen at our other close location all the time as well.
