    Pros

They mail me a check for $20k a month. No classes, no questions asked. I'll never work for another ESL company again.

    Cons

Terrible spelling. Can't even spell Native.

    Pros

This company is full of promises and offer to pay more than others but they are empty. No bookings. No students. No leadership.

    Cons

This is the worst company to work for. They promise payouts after classes but there are no students and no classes to get paid from.

    This company is a joke

    Pros

No pros. They splashed out a few years ago with a huge hiring campaign promising big bucks. I got hired and I'm still on their "books" as able to teach but have not gotten a single class. Nor have any of the other teachers (dozens!) that applied and were hired along with me.

    Cons

See pros. The entire company is one big con.

A poorly constructed and possibly scam operation

    Pros

There are absolutely no pros to putting any time or effort

    Cons

More than 2,000 experienced and committed online ESL instructors contributed hours of their profession lives to helping "launch" what, after over a year of promises-made-and-nothing-done, appears to be get-rich-quick scheme by an shady CEO/founder named Christopher Kenyon Welch. Welch has hopped from one MLM company to another--his main interests are women's cosmetics and skin care--with a shameful hype and blow-hard ego. I was a teacher who uploaded video, photos, text contributions, documents, and more. I sat through painfully egotistical pipe-dream webinars that included ghastly inspirational quotations.

A New Company Doing Their Best with Some Nasty Naysayers

    Mar 27, 2019 - ESL Teacher

    Business Outlook

    Pros

High Pay Rates - One of the highest in the ESL Industry Same Day Payments - Teachers get paid the same day they teach Hours - Hours are not just for Asian countries like most ESL companies. I have taught students in Brazil as well.

    Cons

Slow to start but doing their best. There is a lot of negativity from teachers who were expecting a perfect launch. In the unofficial facebook group, they make fun of teachers who have started teaching. It seems that some teachers have forgotten that it is a contract position and not full-time employment. Be wary of the negative reviews here, it actually appears as though they are from the nasty teachers that were removed due to bullying of other teachers and their inability to comprehend or accept the answers they were given to them in response to their outrageous conspiracy theories. They needed to be removed from the company and Facebook groups due to their malicious comments. I applaud the company for taking a stand against that kind of behavior. All in all, the company has been great despite the slow start. Patience is key if you apply.

    Stay away from this company

    Pros

They claim same day payment for classes and a high per hour $20 rate.

    Cons

No students, platform is a joke, and launch has been delayed or adjusted numerous times. But even if you wanted to stick through all of that in case they take off, don’t! They heavily moderate their Facebook group deleting anyone asking legitimate questions that they seem negative. If you do make a comment or ask a legitimate question (like why they are marketing to other countries that they have 5,000 teachers when they only have 1,500 or why are most teachers not showing up in the platform for parents to book, etc) you will get a cease and desist letter and be terminated with threats of lawsuits from the CEO. The CEO has his own history of issues with MLMs and comes across as super fake and shady. The company has been trying to have teachers create content for them for free and then markets to parents how much content the parents will receive when they purchase the program. Countless pointless webinars where they try to hype up the teachers with big promises and yet here we are with no students, the worst curriculum I’ve ever seen, a platform that doesn’t work and teachers getting threatened with lawsuits. I’ve never seen anything like his.

    Terrible. Don't waste your time!

    Pros

Some good memes in the facebook groups

    Cons

-They have no students -Complete lack of transparency to teachers: They keep telling teachers to open slots to be booked, they keep saying that the coming days and weeks will have more students, and week after week there are no actual interested students and it seems they're spending almost nothing on marketing. -Misleading information given to potential students & parents: They claim on their websites that they have "5,000 certified American teachers" when they have actually only interviewed 1,400 teachers and haven't checked any of their documentation. -Misleading information about their platform: They describe themselves as using the "latest technology," but their lessons aren't even interactive and there is no in class tech support. -Misleading information about their curriculum: They describe the curriculum as being created by top curriculum experts with over a century of combined experience. When teachers finally gained access to some of the lesson slides, there were grammatical errors in several of the lessons, poor/confusing graphics, and confusing lesson order (a lesson with only the alphabet appears after more complex grammar is taught) -When teachers have spoken up about the issues they are seeing with the company, the platform and the curriculum, they fired the most outspoken teachers and sent some of them cease and desist letters threatening litigation. Yes, they are threatening to sue their teachers over comments made on facebook.

    New Company

    Pros

You get immediate pay after you finish classes. They have the highest base pay than any other company.

    Cons

They are just starting out. This is a brand new company. They have great plans to for teachers to make a decent wage. The only con that I have right now is that I have not taught a class yet, but like I said, this is a baby company who is trying to get off the ground. You have to have patience.
