I have been working at Nabet 700 Film Union full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They always if you go to different places you will learn a lot and as well meeting new people but for me experience count

    Cons

Meeting new people & such might as a challenge to me but something that doesn't breath will never be a challenge

    Advice to Management

Work is something to be taken seriously please never play with work so do what's right or respect must be for ever with you towards your colleagues

    Pros

They negotiate on my behalf and I get a much more decent rate and benefits being a part of the union rather than just working non-union, non-regulated jobs.

    Cons

Tough because the work has been slow and if production companies don't want to go union because of the extra costs then they don't have to. There can be a lot of animosity within the department.

    Advice to Management

Know the people in the departments and how their work holds up. Force them to have reviews of some sort so you can weed out weaker people.

    Pros

You can work when you want to. Nabet is a union and hiring hall that can send you onto film jobs. You can take time off when you want to and once you are sent to set by the union, various productions hire you, depending on how fast and hard you work.

    Cons

Work is sometimes sporatic and the hours are long.

    Advice to Management

Take the issues of the membership seriously in negotiation with various film companies but do not act on their "behalf" without express permisison
