    Pros

Pros: People you worked with and perhaps a few immediate managers.

    Cons

Wow!!!...I cannot believe that things really haven't changed a bit since I was last there. Someone wrote a review where they talked about the CIO. Yes it was true back apparently still is true that the CIO thinks he owns the company and of course override any decisions that go against what he has in mind. Yes, some upper management have left, but there are plenty more that should be gone too. One of the problems is that they have so many freaking top managers. Some don't even have anyone that report to them. I cannot speak how it is now, but back then, it was a mess. There was an internal IT investigation done back in 2015 where many IT developers were being hired through an agency in which one of the top IT directors at that time had been an owner of or at least part owner. So when they would hire a Software developer, they would go to that agency to get and H1B developer, not giving a chance for someone other than from that agency to be given a chance for the position. Don't know if that is still true or not. Yes it is true that IT management is totally disorganized, chaotic and afraid for their jobs if they go against or speak their mind to the CIO or any upper manager . Why? Because if you did, your days would be numbered. One thing about Nabors is that you have to be part of the "IN" group. If you are, your job is pretty much safe.

    Advice to Management

Yes, CIO is totally out of touch with reality when it comes to technology. He demands that projects be done even when there aren't any resources. And yes it is very true that not in any fortune 500 or any reputable company for that matter would a CIO be involved with table design. I cannot believe that the CIO still provides business functional requirements overriding real business needs. Yes everything in Nabors IT is queued up for CIO’s blessing. GO against him and/or speak your mind, you might as well start looking for another job.

    Pros

There is nothing good about this place. Keep away

    Cons

Chaos, dictatorship, fear mongering, enslavement of H1b workers. Micromanagement.

    Advice to Management

Totally disorganized IT. The CIO thinks he owns the company and call out decisions that goes against the code of conduct of the company. Dude does not realize he too is an employee . CIO is out of touch with ground reality when it comes to technology. No where in the world CIO of a billion dollar deals with table design . Why would you hire a DBA and cio do DBA’s job . Best part when CIO provides business functional requirements overriding real business needs. What tops is his bloated ego. Everything in Nabors IT is queued up for CIO’s blessing . When will he conquer the world with his blinded vision. the change for IT should start with him. For God sake it’s a public limited company..
